Angela Lansbury to Guest Star in GAME OF THRONES Season 7?

Just after the news that fellow theatre vet Jim Broadbent will appear in the final season of HBO's GAME OF THRONES, Express writes that stage and screen legend Angela Lansbury is in talks for a guest role for the 7th installment of the cult series.

Lansbury would appear in two episodes; no word yet which part she'd play. Oscar winner Broadbent will reportedly play a "significant role.

As previously announced, the final season of GAME OF THRONES will film in Northern Ireland, Spain and Iceland. Set to premiere next summer, the season will consist of only seven episodes.The show has been nominated for 23 Emmy Awards.

Among the works in five-time Tony-winner Angela Lansbury's prolific Broadway career are Gore Vidal's THE BEST MAN, A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC, BLITHE SPIRIT, MAME, SWEENEY TODD, THE KING AND I, GYPSY and DEAR WORLD. She also recently starred opposite James Earl Jones in an Australian tour of DRIVING MISS DAISY. It was reported earlier this summer that Lansbury will return to Broadway in THE CHALK GARDEN next season.

The actress has received an honorary Oscar, won six Golden Globes and an Olivier Award. She is well known for her roles on-screen in BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, MURDER, SHE WROTE, THE MANCHURIAN CANDIDATE, THE PICTURE OF DORIan Gray and GASLIGHT.
