Deadline reports that Adam Rothenberg, who portrays Captain Homer Jackson in the Amazon series RIPPER STREET, will be returning for the show's fourth and fifth seasons after all.

Rothenberg was originally set to leave the Amazon period thriller after it was announced that ABC had picked up his pilot Wicked City to series. However, according to the report, the actor will no longer continue with his role as cop Jack Roth in Wicked City, leaving the part to be recast.

Similar to the HBO hit True Detective, the anthology crime drama Wicked City, follows a murder case on the Sunset Strip in the 1980s. The role of Roth's wife, portrayed by Holley Fain in the pilot, and the paparazzo Diver, played by Darrell Britt-Gibson, will also be recast for the series.

Amazon revealed last week that RIPPER STREET will return for two more series, after becoming one the most-watched show on Amazon Prime Instant Video.
