Actress Amanda Seyfried Set to Star as Linda Lovelace

According to Deadline.com, actress Amanda Seyfried, who can currently be seen starring in IN TIME, is set to play the role of famed porn star Linda Lovelace in an upcoming film by Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman.

Actor Peter Sarsgaard is currently in negotiations to play the role of Lovelace's husband, Chuck Traynor, the man responsible for getting his wife involved in the X-rated film industry. Lovelace is perhaps best known for her role in 'Deep Throat', which is currently among the highest grossing independent films in movie history.

Based on the book 'The Complete Linda Lovelace' by Eric Danville, the script for the film will be penned by Andy Bellin and W. Merritt Johnson. Millennium Films, Eclectic Pictures and Untitled Entertainment will all be involved in the upcoming project.

Filming on the biopic is set to begin in early in January of 2012.
