AbFab's Mo Gaffney to Guest on Web Series OLD DOGS & NEW TRICKS

Actress, author and activist Mo Gaffney will guest star in the third-season premiere of Old Dogs & New Tricks, producers of the award-winning hit web series announced today.

Producers are keeping mum about Gaffney's role in the premiere. "I hope to be playing one of the 'new tricks' in the show!" Gaffney jokes.

A familiar face to TV & film audiences, Gaffney is perhaps best known for her recurring role of "Bo" on the iconic British sitcom Absolutely Fabulous. She's appeared in the films Drop Dead Gorgeous, Happy, Texas, and Other People's Money, among others. On TV, she's played recurring roles on Mad About You and That '70s Show, and has guest-starred on Roseanne, Friends, Eight Simple Rules, Without a Trace, Ghost Whisperer, Mike & Molly, Super Fun Night, Hart of Dixie, Justified, Shameless, and many others.

Gaffney first gained attention with The Kathy & Mo Show, the seminal Off-Broadway hit she wrote and performed with Kathy Najimy, which won her an Obie Award. It also aired on HBO and won two Cable Ace Awards. She wrote, produced and starred in the follow-up, Kathy & Mo: The Dark Side, which won two more ACE Awards.

The show's creator/writer/star Leon Acord is beside himself with excitement. "I've been a fan since I first saw Kathy & Mo Show in San Francisco," says Acord. "Jennifer Saunders has said Mo is the funniest person she has ever met, which is saying something! I'm thrilled she's doing our show. In fact, I made her an offer I've never made to another actor: 're-write at will.' She is that good!"

Old Dogs & New Tricks is the comedic story of four gay friends stumbling through middle age in youth-obsessed West Hollywood, and stars Acord, Curt Bonnem, Jeffrey Patrick Olson & David Pevsner. The series won Outstanding Program and Outstanding Ensemble honors at the 2012 LA Web Fest.

Other guests slated to appear in ODNT's third season include Ian Buchanan (General Hospital), Rutanya Alda (Mommie Dearest), Kathryn Leigh Scott (Dark Shadows) and Jim J. Bullock (Too Close for Comfort). Past guest stars include Olympian Greg Louganis, Patrick Bristow (Showgirls) and Thom Bierdz (Young & the Restless).

The series begins shooting its third season in March for release later this year. Meanwhile, their twenty-minute special "WeHo Horror Story" debuts in February.
