Entertainment Weekly writes that SPARTACUS's Nick Tarabay will appear in a recurring role in the third season of The CW's ARROW.

Tarabay will play 'Digger Harkness' aka 'Captain Boomerang', who in the comic books is "a recurring foe of the Flash whose signature weapons are specialized boomerangs" and who is "associated with the Suicide Squad". In ARROW, Harkness will be an ex-A.R.G.U.S. operative seeking revenge against his former employers.

The actor will take part in the seventh and eighth episodes, including the series' planned two-hour ARROW and THE FLASH crossover special.

Tarabay joins a long list of guest stars in Season 3, including Amy Gumenick as Carrie Cutter aka Cupid, Nolan Funk (Glee) as Felicity Smoak's ex-boyfriend, Brandon Routh as Atom/Ray Palmer, J.R. Ramirez as Wildcat/Ted Grant and David Cubitt as Mark Shaw/Manhunter.

ARROW returns to The CW on October 8.
