ABC's THE VIEW to Celebrate Barbara Walter's Illustrious Career

"The View" has been celebrating Barbara Walters' unparalleled career all season with "The Year of Barbara," a look back at many of her most notable interviews, originally featured on ABC's "20/20." Last May, Walters announced live on air that the following year, the 17th season of "The View," would be her last. On WEDNESDAY, MARCH 26 (11:00 a.m.-12:00 noon, ET), attorney Sunny Hostin is the featured guest co-host and joins Whoopi Goldberg, Sherri Shepherd, Jenny McCarthy and Walters for the hour.

Guest John Ramsey reflects on his 2000 interview with his late wife Patsy as they addressed rumors of possible guilt in the wake of their daughter JonBenet's murder. Attorney Mark Eiglarsh recalls Walters' 1996 interview with Erik and Lyle Menendez who sat down with her before being formally sentenced for their parents' murder. Attorney Alan Dershowitz revisits his infamous case of client Claus von Bülow and his 1982 interview with Walters after being convicted of the attempted murder of his wife Sunny and their 1985 interview when von Bülow was found innocent of the crime. A look at Walters' exclusive 2003 jailhouse interview with actor Robert Blake, who was accused of murdering his wife Bonnie Lee Bakley, with Gerald Schwartzbach, the attorney who ultimately got Blake acquitted. Eiglarsh will also discuss Walters' 1982 interview with Jean Harris, incarcerated for killing her longtime lover Dr. Herman Tarnower, the author of The Scarsdale Diet and their 1993 interview after serving her prison term.

"The View," a live, one-hour daily talk show from ABC (11:00 a.m.-12:00 noon, ET), is the original forum in which real women discuss everyday issues, share their opinions and engage in colorful conversations. "The View," broadcast in HDTV and produced in 2-channel stereo sound, is now available to watch online daily at 4:00 p.m., ET/1:00 p.m., PT on ABC.com. "The View" is produced by ABC and Ms. Walters' Barwall Productions, with Ms. Walters serving as executive producer along with Bill Geddie, who also serves as executive producer for "The Barbara Walters Specials." "The View" is directed by Mark Gentile.
