ABC ran a strong second on Monday in Total Viewers (5.5 million) and Adults 18-49 (1.5/6) while winning the night for the 4th straight week in Adults 18-34 and across all key Women.

ABC's "The Bachelorette" was Monday's most watched show overall (6.8 million) and the night's No. 1 TV series in Adults 18-49 for its 5th consecutive telecast (1.9/7-tied w/ NBC's AMERICAN NINJA WARRIOR from 9:00-11:00 p.m.).

"The Bachelorette" (8:00-10:00 p.m. - 6.8 million and 1.9/7 in AD18-49):
Winning each half-hour from 8:00-10:00 p.m., "The Bachelorette" defeated runner-up NBC in the 2-hour slot (w/ "Olympic Trials" and "American Ninja Warrior") by 19% in Total Viewers (6.8 million vs. 5.7 million) and 27% among Adults 18-49 (1.9/7 vs. 1.5/6). "The Bachelorette" was up from its comparable 6th telecast last season (on 6/15/15) by 8% in Total Viewers and 6% in Adults 18-49.

"Mistresses" (10:00-11:00 p.m. - 3.0 million and 0.7/2 in AD18-49):
At 10:00 p.m. against the second hour of NBC's "American Ninja Warrior," "Mistresses" beat out CBS' "Braindead" in the hour by 40% in Adults 18-49 (0.7/2 vs. 0.5/2). The ABC drama held even week to week in viewers and young adults.

Live + 3 Day Ratings for last week (6/20/16): Versus its Live + Same Day numbers, last Monday's telecast of "Mistresses" gained 1.0 million viewers (2.9 million to 3.9 million) and shot up 57% in Adults 18-49 (0.7 rating to 1.1 rating) with just 3 days of TV playback.

Projections Rationale:
Lifts vs. L+SD are based on the 2015-16 season for premiere telecast or an average for originals (excluding the premiere).

Returning shows: Profile based on same show (either premiere or averages for originals).
New Series: Based on similar series.

A note about DVR penetration: DVR penetration in the Nielsen sample is currently at 49% in U.S. TV Homes. More viewers are watching shows on their own timetables, which are increasingly not reflected in the overnight Live + Same Day numbers. As a result, the Live + 7 Day ratings are the most accurate measure to gauge the size of the TV audience.
