ABC's THE $100,000 PYRAMID Wins 9 p.m. Hour for 2nd Week Running

ABC Sunday Prime (7:00-11:00 p.m. - 5.9 million and 1.2/5 in AD18-49): With its Sunday Fun & Games line-up, ABC ranked No. 1 on the night for the 2nd straight week in Total Viewers (5.9 million) and Adults 18-49 (1.2/5), dominating runner-up CBS by 23% and 33%, respectively (4.8 million and 0.9/3, respectively).

"Celebrity Family Feud" (8:00-9:00 p.m. - 7.5 million and 1.4/6 in AD18-49): At 8:00 p.m., ABC's "Celebrity Family Feud" was the most watched TV show in the hour for the 5th straight week, topping CBS' "Big Brother" by 1.2 million viewers (7.5 million vs. 6.3 million). "Celebrity Family Feud" was steady with its week-ago Fast Affiliate Adult 18-49 rating (1.4/6 vs. 1.5/6), which adjusted up 1-tenth in the Nationals.

"The $100,000 Pyramid" (9:00-10:00 p.m. - 6.7 million and 1.4/5 in AD18-49): ABC's "The $100,000 Pyramid" won the 9 o'clock hour for the 2nd week in a row among Total Viewers (6.7 million) and Adults 18-49 (1.4/5). "Pyramid" held steady week to week in Adults 18-49 (1.4/5 vs. 1.5/5).

"Match Game" (10:00-11:00 p.m. - 5.5 million and 1.1/4 in AD18-49): At 10 o'clock, ABC's "Match Game" took first place in the hour for the 2nd week running with Total Viewers (5.5 million) and Adults 18-49 (1.1/4), towering over CBS' time-slot premiere of "BrainDead" (2.3 million and 0.3/1, respectively). "Match Game" was steady with the prior week among Adults 18-49 (1.1/4 vs. 1.2/4).

A note about DVR penetration: DVR penetration in the Nielsen sample is currently at 49% in U.S. TV Homes. More viewers are watching shows on their own timetables, which are increasingly not reflected in the overnight Live + Same Day numbers. As a result, the Live + 7 Day ratings are the most accurate measure to gauge the size of the TV audience.
