ABC's RISING STAR is Sunday's No. 1 Most-Social Broadcast Series

Spiking over its lead-in at 9:00 p.m. in viewers and young adults (+42%/+36%) and holding its audience throughout its 2-hour debut against NBC's special "America's Got Talent," ABC's "Rising Star" opened as ABC's highest rated summer series debut in 2-years in Adults 18-49 (tie) - since 5/24/12. The new ABC unscripted series finished a strong second in its time period to "America's Got Talent" with viewers and young adults.

In Total Viewers and Adults 18-49, "Rising Star" delivered ABC's biggest summertime numbers to the time period with regular programming since August 2011 - since 8/28/11.

Twitter Activity: ABC's "Rising Star" was the No. 1 most social broadcast series on Sunday with 129,071 tweets. The ABC premiere outperformed NBC's "America's Got Talent" season premiere by 116% (59,734 tweets on 5/27/14) and Fox's "So You Think You Can Dance" season premiere by 30% (98,888 tweets, on 5/28/14). In addition, the "Rising Star" premiere topped "America's Got Talent" head to head on Sunday by 290% (with 33,106 tweets).

"Rising Star" App Downloads: "Rising Star" launched the age of interactive TV during Sunday night's premiere with more than 1 million people downloading the "Rising Star" app, making it the No. 1 App Store free app, and resulting in more than 5.0 million votes cast in real time.
