ABC's RISING STAR Builds on Lead-In by 20%

Featuring a repeat "Funniest Home Videos," into "Wipeout" and "Rising Star," ABC (1.1/4) led the pack on Sunday in Adults 18-49 for the 2nd week in a row, beating CBS by 10% (1.0/4), FOX by 22% (0.9/3) and NBC by 57% (0.7/2).

Please Note: On the final night of the extended 4th of July holiday weekend, overall Adult 18-49 TV usage levels declined -5% from the prior Sunday (28.9% vs. 30.3%).

"Wipeout" (8:00-9:00 p.m. - 3.6 million and 1.0/4 in AD18-49):
From 8:00-9:00 p.m. against CBS' "Big Brother," ABC's "Wipeout" earned second place in its slot and boosted its time period year to year in Total Viewers (+24% - 3.6 million vs. 2.9 million) and Adults 18-49 (+11% - 1.0/4 vs. 0.9/3).

"Rising Star" (9:00-11:00 p.m. - 4.3 million and 1.2/4 in AD18-49):
From 9:00-11:00 p.m. for the 2nd consecutive week, ABC's "Rising Star" (1.2/4) outdelivered its original broadcast competition in its 2-hour time period with Adults 18-49, dominating NBC's "Miley Cyrus: Bangerz Tour" concert special by 71% (0.7/2) and CBS' dramas by 71% ("Reckless"/"Unforgettable" = 0.7/2). "Rising Star" finished as the No. 2 broadcast show on Sunday in Adults 18-49 (tie), behind only CBS' "Big Brother." The new ABC unscripted series built on its lead-in with viewers (+19%) and young adults (+20%).

Despite the lower holiday TV usage levels, "Rising Star" held steady week to week in Adults 18-49.

"Rising Star" continued to improve its 2-hour time period year to year for ABC, building over the same night last year by 43% in Total Viewers (4.3 million vs. 3.0 million) and by 50% in Adults 18-49 (1.2/4 vs. 0.8/2).
