For the 3rd week running from 8:00-10:00 p.m. ABC's "Dancing with the Stars" beat out Fox's Monday dramas ("Gotham"/"Minority Report") in the 2-hour time period in Total Viewers (+269% - 11.8 million vs. 3.2 million) and Adults 18-49 (+55% - 1.7/5 vs. 1.1/3). The ABC unscripted series gained audience from its first to second hour in viewers (+7% - 11.4 million to 12.2 million) and young adults (+6% - 1.7/6 to 1.8/5).

For the 4th week in a row, "Dancing" was the most social broadcast program of the evening (111,826 tweets), up 30% from the previous week.

"Castle" (10:00-11:00 p.m. - 7.3 million and 1.3/4 in AD18-49):
At 10:00 p.m. opposite NBC's "The Voice"-led "The Blindspot," ABC's "Castle" took second in Adults 18-49 (1.3/4).

Live + 3 Day Ratings: Continuing to see big TV playback gains, last Monday's episode of "Castle" (9/28/15) shot up 58% over its L+SD Adult 18-49 rating (from a 1.2 to a 1.9) to match its week-earlier season premiere delivery and outperform CBS' "NCIS: LA" (1.8 rating).

Projections Rationale:
Lifts vs. L+SD are based on the 2014-15 season for premiere telecast or an average for originals (excluding the premiere).
Returning shows: Profile based on same show (either premiere or averages for originals).
New Series: Based on similar series.

A note about DVR penetration: DVR penetration in the Nielsen sample is currently at 49% in U.S. TV Homes. More viewers are watching shows on their own timetables, which are increasingly not reflected in the overnight Live + Same Day numbers. As a result, the Live + 7 Day ratings are the most accurate measure to gauge the size of the TV audience.
