ABC News is providing up-to-the minute coverage of the ongoing political crisis in Egypt across all platforms. ABC's Alex Marquardt has been reporting from the epicenter of the protests in Tahrir Square for all broadcasts and platforms throughout the week. ABC News Chief National Correspondent Byron Pitts will join him in Cairo.

"World News with Diane Sawyer" will have special coverage of the evolving crisis tonight. Alex Marquardt will have a report from the streets of Cairo while Global Affairs Anchor Christiane Amanpour, and Chief Global Affairs Correspondent Martha Raddatz will provide the whole picture on how the events in Egypt, one of the United States' most important allies in the region, impacts Americans.

"Nightline" will have an in-depth report in late-night from Alexander Marquardt in Cairo, and Christiane Amanpour will provide a global perspective on how the events in Egypt impact the rest of the region and the United States.

ABC Middle East Correspondent Alex Marquardt was in Cairo as the Egyptian revolution started in 2011, and has crisscrossed the region covering the historic Arab Spring from Tahrir Square to Benghazi to Damascus. Marquardt reported from Cairo last November when Tahrir Square filled with protesters after President Mohamed Morsi granted himself new unchecked powers.
