ABC, THE CHEW Invite Viewers to Share Cooking Tips with New Online Features

It's Holiday Headquarters at ABC Television's "The Chew" as hosts Mario Batali, Michael Symon, Carla Hall, Clinton Kelly and Daphne Oz share their expertise on everything from entertaining and party ideas to yummy dishes sure to please any holiday party. Throughout the holiday season and into the New Year, fans of "The Chew" are invited to share, swap and store their favorite recipes, crafts and tips through the site's newest features, "Recipe Box," "My Bites" and "Recipe Wall."

"Cooking has always been about more than just eating. Many people cherish their favorite recipes – they hold on to them over the years, share them with friends and family, and are always looking for new and different ideas to add to the mix," said Karin Gilford, SVP of Digital Media, ABC Television Network. "Today's digitally savvy audience wants to do those same things, but online and through their mobile devices. 'Recipes' is by far the most popular section of the site. Now with these new features, fans have unprecedented ability to personalize their site visit with not only their favorite 'The Chew' recipes, but those that are most important to them."

The "Recipe Box" feature allows viewers to log on and create a personalized "Recipe Box" of their very own complete with personalized tabs. "Recipe Box" is an excellent place for viewers to save the recipes featured on the show or found on "The Chew" website's "Recipe Wall." Additionally, users will be able to add and save recipes from other cooking websites, making their "Recipe Box" a one stop destination. "Recipe Wall" is a feature designed to help find inspiration. All of the recipes highlighted on the show from the hosts and celebrity chefs are posted to create an exciting collage with myriad ideas. Recipes found on "Recipe Wall" can also be saved for future use in the individual's customized "Recipe Box."

"My Bites" is dedicated to the viewer, the food enthusiast and fan. "My Bites" allows users to post their own recipes, be it family or newly found favorites. Viewers simply log onto http://beta.abc.go.com/shows/the-chew/my-bites to access the "My Bites" feature which allows fans to upload their recipes, tips and crafts or post photos and videos to share with other fans of the site.

Fans can still enter to win "The Chew: Watch and Win Sweepstakes." From now until November 21, viewers of "The Chew" can log onto Facebook to enter the secret ingredient of the day for a chance to win a year's supply of free groceries.
