EWonline.com reports that ABC has already pulled the plug on its new comedy WORK IT after airing only two episodes. The cross-dressing sitcom had recently created a stir with The Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) and the Human Rights Campaign. Both organizations took out an ad in a Hollywood trade to protest what they considered to be the negative effect the show had on the transgender community.

In addition to the controversy, the show suffered from poor ratings. Debuting to a 2.0 rating in its first week out, the comedy dropped to a 1.6 in week two and lost 27% of viewers from its lead-in show, 'Last Man Standing'. ABC has announced that it will air repeat episodes of 'Last Man Standing' in its place this Tuesday.

From "Friends" producers Andrew Reich & Ted Cohen WORK IT told the story of two unrepentant guy's guys who, unable to find work, dress as women to get jobs. Not only do they pull it off, but they learn to be better men in the process. The show stars Ben Koldyke ("How I Met Your Mother") as Lee, Amaury Nolasco ("Prison Break") as Angel, Beth Lacke ("Happy Hour") as Connie, John Caparulo ("Chelsea Lately") as Brian, Rebecca Mader ("Lost") as Grace, Rochelle Aytes ("Detroit 1-8-7") as Vanessa, Kate Reinders ("Sherrie") as Kelly, Kirstin Eggers ("Aussie and Ted's Great Adventure") as Kristin and Hannah Sullivan (Disney Channel's "Get Connected") as Kat. The show premiered on January 3rd.
