4th Edition of Telemundo's PREMIOS TU MUNDO Returns Today

TELEMUNDO's "Premios Tu Mundo" (Your World Awards) will broadcast live from the American Airlines Arena in Miami, Florida, today, August 20, 2015. The 4thedition of the awards celebration, which honors actors, singers and TV moments as voted by fans through a selection process that combines the power of television, web, mobile and social media platforms, now expands to a three-hour show starting at 8pm/7c, with a lead-in one-hour blue carpet special at 7pm/6c, "La Alfombra de Premios Tu Mundo." Fans can be part of the action by following @PremiosTuMundo across Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, Periscope, Meerkat, Facebook.com/PremiosTuMundo and joining the conversation using #PremiosTuMundo. Nominees for this year's awards will be announced during Telemundo's "Un Nuevo Dia" on July 23rd, at which point the voting process will begin.

Last year's edition of "Premios Tu Mundo," which reached a cumulative audience of over 4.1 million total viewers, was hosted by Gaby Espino and Aaron Diaz, and featured thrilling performances and appearances by renowned artists, including Juanes, Lucero, Gerardo Ortiz, Los Tucanes de Tijuana, Natalia Jimenez, Gabriel Coronel and David Bisbal among others. On the stage, iconic rock band La Ley reunited after a long hiatus; the evening also featured a powerful performance by merengue royalty Olga Tañon with Elvis Crespo. Top honors went to Rafael Amaya and Gaby Espino, who received Favorite Lead Actor awards. On the music side, the Ortiz brothers walked out with an award each, with Gerardo Ortiz taking Favorite Norteño Artist and Kevin Ortiz taking Favorite Banda; while Favorite Pop Artist went to Enrique Iglesias, who also won Party-Starting Song for his worldwide hit "Bailando." A constellation of music and television stars attended the event where winners were selected from fans worldwide.
