Fall Epicurean Series:
This October, The Ritz-Carlton, Tysons Corner will host the Fall Epicurean Series, featuring seasonal culinary demonstrations each Saturday from 3pm - 4:30pm. During the demonstration, guests will observe the hotel's culinary team; learn new cooking skills; enjoy seasonal food and beverages; and receive a recipe card for the prepared dishes and drinks. Each Fall Epicurean Series date focuses on a specific theme:
October 5: Hosting the Perfect Dinner Party with executive chef Matthew Morrison
Chef Morrison will offer lessons in easy hors d' oeuvres and canapés to prepare at home, as well as ideas for welcome and signature cocktails.
October 12: International Cooking with executive chef Matthew Morrison
The Ritz-Carlton culinary team will take guests on a journey around the world with lessons in International Cooking. Dishes will be paired with Wine Director, Vincent Feraud's wine selections.
October 19: Thanksgiving 101 with executive chef Matthew Morrison
With the holidays nearing, Thanksgiving 101 will offer lessons from Chef Morrison in preparing the perfect turkey and delicious dishes to accompany the main meal. Prepared dishes will be paired with Wine Director, Vincent Feraud's wine selections.
October 26: Holiday Baking with pastry chef Frederic Barasse
The holiday season is full of family baking traditions, and pastry chef Barasse will demonstrate popular seasonal desserts, served with port, cordial or a coffee cocktail, and share his secrets to hosting a festive gathering.

The luxury hotel offers the perfect weekend getaway in Virginia not only for those who enjoy preparing meals, but for those who enjoy partaking in one as well. Flights & Bites, hosted Saturday evenings through November 23rd, offers guests a special menu of three wine tastings paired with a special dish. The event is modeled after Tuesday evening's Vincent's Wine Shop and held at Entyse Wine Bar and Lounge. Reservations are not required, and the special menu is available for $28. The next date, September 21st, will feature an Acacia pinot noir from Napa, a Patz & Hall pinot from Sonoma and a Willakenzie pinot noir from Oregon. The three wines will be paired with seared duck breast served with celery root and griotte cherry chocolate.
