With just over three months to go before opening night, Wexford Festival Opera has reached 70% of target sales for this year's festival. With approximately 90% of transactions now cashless, credit/debit cards are now the norm for booking, making it quicker and easier for people to purchase tickets at their convenience. To ensure the best quality of customer service in this area, Wexford Festival Opera has engaged the services of Elavon, a global company with a strong and growing base in its European headquarters here in Ireland, which provides the power behind the technology to seamlessly process such transactions. Elavon is a world-class market leader, serving the needs of more than one million customers across Europe and around the world.

Elavon and Wexford Opera Festival are also pleased to announce Elavon's lead production sponsorship at Wexford Festival Opera 2013, through their support for the main-stage production of Il Cappello di paglia di Firenze (The Florentine Straw Hat) by Nino Rota, which will open this year's Festival. There will be four performances of this opera in Wexford Opera House on 23, 26, 29 October and 1 November.

CEO of Elavon Financial Services , Declan Lynch remarked, "Elavon believes strong communities are built upon strong foundations; to build those strong foundations we are delighted to partner with Wexford Festival Opera, an iconic cultural event in one our key European markets."

Chief Executive of Wexford Festival Opera, David McLoughlin added, "Wexford Festival Opera is particularly pleased to ally itself with Elavon, which as a global leader in its own arena parallels Wexford's position in the opera world."

The 62nd Wexford Festival Opera runs for 12 days, Wednesday, 23 October through Sunday, 3 November 2013 and is grant-aided by the Arts Council, Fáilte Ireland, and Wexford County and Borough Councils.
