WQXR to Present THE MAGIC FLUTE For Kids, 11/23
WQXR, The Magic Flute
As part of "Month of Mozart", a month long celebration of all things Mozart, WQXR, New York City's all-classical station, will present two 90 minute performances of the beloved classical The Magic Flute by the AMORE OPERA on Saturday, November 23 at 11:30AM and 2:30PM at its live event venue, The Greene Space.
Designed especially for children ages 4-12, the fantastical fairy-tale opera about bird catchers, princes, and enchanted instruments will be sung in English translation with narration all set to piano. With lush costumes and colorful backdrops, The Magic Flute at The Greene Space is the perfect way to introduce Mozart and opera to children. Hosted by WNYC's Manoush Zomorodi.
For those not in the NYC area, the event will be live webcast at www.TheGreeneSpace.org.
