Tickets and packages for the 2010-2011 season at the Metropolitan Opera are now on sale.This season's performances will feature shows like Giacomo Puccini's La Boheme, Georges Bizet's Carmen and Mozart's The Magic Flute. Overall, the season will include seven new productions and 21 revivals.

Ticket packages at the Met include "New Productions" packages, which allow visitors to secure seats at all seven of the new upcoming productions at the Met. Guests can also choose to purchase a "Theme Package," which allows them to buy groups of tickets based on the type of opera they wish to see.

New York's Metropolitan Opera was founded in April of 1880, and is now considered one of the premier opera stages in the world. The Met presents all types of opera, including Grand Opera, and is America's largest classical music organization.
