Three Arts Organizations Unite to Bring Milwaukee OPERA IN OCTOBER

Opera in October is a first-time collaboration between three non-profits to create new synergies for Opera lovers in the Greater Milwaukee Community: The Florentine Opera, Sharon Lynne Wilson Center for the Arts, Wisconsin District Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions.

The three regional organizations will partner together to promote and/or produce the following opera activities in October 2016, as outlined in the bullet points below (or click here: http://www.wilson-center.com/opera-in-october/):

  • Florentine Opera's World Premiere and professional recording of Sister Carrie by composer Robert Aldridge and librettist Herschel Garfein with performances on October 7 (7:30PM) & 9 (2:30PM), 2016: Uihlein Hall in the Marcus Center for the Performing Arts.
  • The Wisconsin District Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions on October 15, 2016, at the Sharon Lynne Wilson Center for the Arts, in The Harris Theater and Dawes Studio Theater.
  • Brunch and recital with special guest artist of the Florentine Opera (soprano Alyson Cambridge) on October 16, 2016 at 11:30AM, WITH BRUNCH AND AN ARTIST TALKBACK, at the Sharon Lynne Wilson Center for the Arts.
