The Atlanta Opera Hosts 2013 LA BELLE SOIREE Tonight

The Atlanta Opera, one of the nation's finest regional opera companies enriching lives through the power of opera, today announced that its 2013 La Belle Soirée, an annual spring fundraiser to benefit the Opera, will take place tonight, May 23, 2013. During the evening, guests will be serenaded by members of The Atlanta Opera Chorus and will be treated to fine fare prepared by Chef Joe Truex of Watershed.

Chef Joe Truex, a native Southerner, introduced his unique style of Southern cuisines to Watershed's menu. His classic approach to cooking transforms traditional Southern dishes into something distinct and exciting. His cooking refreshes our ideas about how creative and delicious Southern food can be. Chef Truex has a keen understanding of the connection between food and wine and brings his passion for wine to the Southern table.

The ticketed event will take place at the home of Ms. Suzanne Mott Dansby in the West Peachtree Battle neighborhood of Atlanta. All proceeds go toward the support of the artistic excellence of The Atlanta Opera.
