*When you donate to the 2015 season, your donation will be held in a Special Escrow Account until we have reached our $1 million dollar goal. If the 2015 season is not announced, or the $1 million dollar goal is not met by May 19, 2014, donations will not be released to the company and will be returned to the donor, minus an $8 handling fee, within 10 days. If our goal is reached and the 2015 season is announced, the amount in the escrow account will be transferred to the Opera and at that time the donations will become tax deductible and acknowledgement letters will be sent out. The creation of this account allows the Company to explore moving forward while protecting donor money and giving supporters the security that their gift is being applied to the future of San Diego Opera. Please help save San Diego Opera so we can continue to bring you amazing opera with moments that take your breath away, as well as new and innovative ways for everyone to experience opera! You can continue to check the status of donations at San Diego Opera! Click to read full terms of the Special Escrow Account.

"The public support for San Diego Opera's future has been overwhelming," shares Acting Board President, Carol Lazier. "People could not accept their beloved opera was disappearing and took to the streets in protest. We heard you. And we're proud to say that the future of San Diego Opera will celebrate its legacy of artistic excellence. But now it is up to you. The new San Diego Opera will not only depend on large gifts, but the
community's engagement and support. Every gift is needed - large, small and in between. From an acorn we will grow a mighty tree."
