OPERA EXPOSURES, the not-for-profit opera company founded by Edna Greenwich in 2004, will present a Memorial Concert in honor of the late Deborah Jackson, a lover of theatre and music who passed away in February after spending 33 years at the Metropolitan Opera Stage Door working the switchboard and greeting some of the world's greatest opera singers, on Sunday, October 23, at 3:30 PM at St. Marks Church in the Bowery, 131 East 10th Street at 2nd Avenue. Tickets are $25.

The concert will feature Canadian soprano Mikayla Sager, tenor Bernard Holcomb, soprano Alicia Waller and baritone Kenneth Overton. Korean composer/pianist Ok Kyun Kang will support the singers on piano. Raconteur and opera lover Dwight Owsley, a member of the Opera Exposures Board, will be the emcee.

Ms. Greenwich, who retired last year after working in the Metropolitan Opera Patron Office for 22 years, said she decided to plan this Memorial Concert for her late associate because Deborah Jackson's life story was significant. "Deborah touched so many lives as the Reception Manager of the Met Opera Stage Door Reception Desk. She assisted everyone from Grace Bumbry, Franco Corelli, Joan Sutherland, Placido Domingo and Luciano Pavarotti, etc. She represents another important aspect of the opera experience."

The recital is made possible by generous donations from Councilwoman Debi Rose, The Hahn/Block Family Foundation, Judith M. Hoffman, Luna Kaufman, Jacqueline and David Manning, Dr. Robert J. Campbell and Chev. Cesare L. Santeramo, and Yvonne and Al Thanhauser.
