North Carolina Opera is looking to expand its audience and connect with the area's thriving young professional demographic through the recently launched NCO Pulse affiliate group. NCO Pulse aims to be a group of culture loving young professionals interested in nurturing the Triangle's arts and culture scene in connection to the NC Opera.

This is a membership based affiliate group run by a leadership board of passionate volunteers with professional backgrounds from a variety of industries and representatives from Kilpatrick Townsend, SAS, Williams Mullen, Blue Cross Blue Shield of NC, Ramey Rhodes and other prestigious local companies.

"We are very excited to launch this new group to cultivate the next generation of opera fans. The arts are a great way to bring people together, and NCO Pulse is designed to do just that - connect young professionals in the area who are opera experts, enthusiasts, and newcomers," says Allison Bonner from Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina and a member of the NCO Pulse Leadership Board.

Group members gain the opportunity to network with professionals in the community, attend special events targeted to their shared interests, discounts on NC Opera subscriptions and tickets and more. Interested parties can connect with NCO Pulse through social media on Facebook at www.facebook.com/NCOPulse and Twitter at www.twitter.com/NCOPulse to learn the latest on events and group activities, or visit www.ncopera.org/nco-pulse today!

"As the Triangle area attracts more and more young urban professionals, the demand for cultural events and opportunities continue to grow. With NCO Pulse, NC Opera hopes to provide exciting and unusual cultural and social experiences for NCO Pulse members, and to help enhance their quality of life in our community. We are thrilled to be launching this affiliate group!" says David Walker, NC Opera Director of Development.

The next upcoming NCO Pulse event takes place in tandem with the 2014 NCO Imperial Dream Gala on October 18th at The Umstead Hotel and Spa in Cary, NC starting at 9pm. NCO Pulse attendees will enjoy creative cocktails and desserts followed by an evening of live music and dancing. Party tickets to what is sure to be one of Raleigh's premier social events are only $75 per person and space is limited. Tickets can be purchased to the NCO Pulse Gala 2014 by calling 919.792.3856 or online at www.ncopera.org/ncpulsetickets.
