Metropolitan Opera Announces Casting Update for 50th Anniversary Gala, 5/7

In addition to the previously announced artists appearing at the Met's 50th Anniversary at Lincoln Center Gala on May 7, singers slated to appear include Stephanie Blythe, Joseph Calleja, DWayne Croft, David Daniels, Yusif Eyvazov, Vittorio Grigolo, Christopher Job, Latonia Moore, Yunpeng Wang, and Dolora Zajick.

The gala will be conducted by Met Music Director Emeritus James Levine, future Met Music Director Yannick Nézet-Séguin, and Marco Armiliato.

These artists join the previously announced stars scheduled to perform at the gala: Piotr Beczala, Ben Bliss, Javier Camarena, Diana Damrau, Joyce DiDonato, Plácido Domingo, Michael Fabiano, Renée Fleming, Juan Diego Flórez, Ferruccio Furlanetto, El?na Garan?a, Susan Graham, Mariusz Kwiecien, Isabel Leonard, Željko Lu?i?, Angela Meade, James Morris, Anna Netrebko, Kristine Opolais, Eric Owens, René Pape, Matthew Polenzani, Rolando Villazón, Michael Volle, Pretty Yende, and Sonya Yoncheva.

The gala will be fully staged in a production featuring direction and scenic design by Julian Crouch, costume design by Kevin Pollard, and projection design by 59 Productions. For more information, please visit www.metopera.org.
