Central City Opera's young professionals group for the culturally curious, The Scene, presents Riverboat Royale, a fun post-show masquerade ball in the heart of downtown Denver.

Following the 2:00 p.m. matinee performance of Show Boat, attendees can top off their experience with a fun and unique event. Upon arrival, guests can indulge in delicious Creole cuisine from Bayou Bob's and imbibe in beer from Central City's Dostal Alley Brewpub & Casino, wine or the signature cocktail from Breckenridge Distillery. Attendees can enjoy live jazz while bidding on auction items to benefit Central City Opera. Guests may then choose to test Lady Luck at the Riverboat Royale Casino with black jack and roulette, and win prizes from The Wizards' Chest while enjoying more live entertainment throughout the gallery.

The evening entertainment will feature the jazz trio of Michael Fitzmaurice, Mark Harris, and Eric Moon, along with stiltwalking by Matt Bergen, balloon sculptures by Carrie Turrentine, pop-up opera by Central City Opera Ensemble Artists Antoine Hodge and Jennifer DeDominici, and a dance performance by Wonderbound.

Masks will be provided or attendees can wear their favorite. The Wizard's Chest will also have a selection of decorative masks available for purchase at the event.
