Beoga

Tuesday, September 23, 8:00pm, $35 / $30 / $25

Beoga are based in County Antrim, in the north of Ireland. The bedrock of their sound lies firmly within the Irish tradition. However, they are not afraid to incorporate other genres' nuances into their music. From bluesy riffs to Astor Piazzola-style jazz, to a raunchy New Orleans jamboree vibe, their music always returns to a wonderfully bouncy Irish sound.

Keiko Matsui, born in Tokyo, Japan as Keiko Doi, is a Japanese keyboardist and composer, specializing in smooth jazz, jazz fusion and new-age music. Her career spans three decades, during which time she has released twenty CDs (in addition to various compilations) and has received international acclaim. She resides in Los Angeles, California.

Roy Rogers & The Delta Rhythm Kings with Special Guest Carlos Reyes

Widely recognized as one of the finest practitioners and innovators of modern slide guitar, Roy has been nominated for multiple Grammy Awards. While maintaining his familiar solid, roots-oriented grooves, his recent material aims for a more genre-crossing style, mixing a variety of tones and textures with a strong focus on the songwriting. Featuring Steve Ehrmann on bass guitar and percussionist Billy Lee Lewis, Roy's Delta Rhythm Kings spice things up still farther and keep the rhythms churning away.

Mariachi Divas are a unique, multi-cultural, all female ensemble, imbued with the true flavor of Los Angeles and have been represented by women of Mexican, Cuban, Samoan, Argentinean, Colombian, Panamanian, Puerto Rican, Swiss, Japanese, Honduran, Guatemalan, Salvadorian, Peruvian, Tongan and Anglo descents. In 2009, Mariachi Divas won the Grammy Award for Best Regional Mexican Album of the year for their release, Canciones De Amor.
