Anthony Kearns Performs at Salamander Resort & Spa Today

Anthony Kearns, world-renowned tenor and founding member of The Irish Tenors, will perform during a reception and tribute to U.S. military and their families today, March 1, 2014 at the Salamander Resort & Spa in Middleburg, Va. The event will take place from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and benefit two leading charitable organizations for America's wounded military service members, veterans and their families - Boulder Crest Retreat for Military and Veteran Wellness and the Coalition to Salute America's Heroes. Mr. Kearns will perform at approximately 6:30 p.m.

The "Evening of Music to Celebrate the Irish Season and Benefit Military Charities" will take place in the Middleburg Ballroom of the Salamander Resort and feature two sets of songs by Mr. Kearns with hors d'oeuvres and open bar. Tickets for the general reception and performance are $100 per individual / $175 per couple. There also will be a VIP meet and greet opportunity at 8 p.m. with specialty cordials and desserts by pastry chef Jason Reaves, winner of the Food Network's Cake Challenge. Sponsorship opportunities and exclusive (one and two night) overnight packages (inclusive of tickets and breakfast) are available.

Boulder Crest Retreat in Bluemont, Va., is a 37-acre rural retreat that provides free accommodations and recreational and therapeutic activities and programs to help wounded military service members, veterans and their families reconnect and recover. The Coalition to Salute America's Heroes provides financial assistance and programs to wounded military members and veterans that includes emergency financial assistance and national employment resources.

Kearns, who has a robust international solo career, has become a favorite among the U.S. military and military service organizations. Last year, he performed as the guest of General Martin Dempsey, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, in tribute to Medal of Honor recipients and at the World War II Memorial to honor the nation's "Greatest Generation." Mr. Kearns will be accompanied by Patrick Healy, who has performed with the English National Opera.
