Andriana Chuchman will sing the role of Adina in Donizetti's L'Elisir d'Amore on Thursday, January 9 and Monday, January 13, replacing Anna Netrebko, who has withdrawn from the first two performances of the run because she is suffering from the flu. The January 9 performance will be Chuchman's Met debut.

The Canadian soprano was already scheduled to make her Met debut this February as Miranda in the Baroque pastiche The Enchanted Island. Her recent performances with other opera companies have included Gretel in Humperdinck's Hansel und Gretel at Glyndebourne, Guinevere in Camelot at Glimmerglass, Magnolia in Show Boat at Washington National Opera, and Olympia in Offenbach's Les Contes d'Hoffmann at the Canadian Opera Company.

L'Elisir d'Amore is conducted by Maurizio Benini and also stars Ramón Vargas as Nemorino, Nicola Alaimo as Belcore, and Erwin Schrott as Dr. Dulcamara.
