MINDI ABAIR

I’m a saxophonist/singer/songwriter signed to Concord Records. I just released my 5th solo CD titled “Mindi Abair in Hi Fi Stereo”. This record was inspired by sitting and listening to some old vinyl and remembering how great it was to just have the magic of the band in the studio at the same time. That’s what we did…. I wrote and brought in sketches of every song, and we just made music and brought our own personalities to every song. It was a blast to make. It debuted at #2 on the Billboard Contemporary Jazz Chart, and the first single “Be Beautiful” spent 7 weeks at #1 on radio. I have 5 solo records that have garnered 10 #1 singles. I also host an internationally syndicated radio show called “Chill With Mindi Abair”, and I’m an elected Governor and Secretary of the LA Chapter Board for the Recording Academy. I’m also an Artist Ambassador for Campbells Labels for Education and the Grammy Foundation. I’ve recorded and/or toured with Keb’ Mo’, Lalah Hathaway, Lee Ritenour, Duran Duran, Sheila E, Peter White, The Backstreet Boys, Jeff Golub, Teena Marie, Adam Sandler and Mandy Moore.
