Two-time Grammy Award winners, the kings of nuclear polka and psychedelic salsa, Brave Combo, return to World Café Live on Sunday, November 25, for an evening of delightfully twisted holiday favorites. Performing music from its ground-breaking albums, CHRISTMAS PRESENT (DenTone Records) and IT'S CHRISTMAS, MAN (Rounder Records), the unclassifiable Texas quintet takes the audience on an amazing musical journey, bouncing from “O, Christmas Tree (Samba)” to “God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen (Twist)” to “We Three Kings (Cha Cha Cha)” to “Must Be Santa (Polka)” to “Winter Wonderland (Bump and Grind).” This will be the ultimate dance party of the season, full of sonic shocks and surprises. In addition to two Grammy wins and seven Grammy nominations, Brave Combo has provided music for myriad television programs (including an animated appearance on THE SIMPSONS) and major motion pictures, such as FOOLS RUSH IN and ENVY. Most recently, the Combo's unique approach to polka was featured in an “Oktoberfest of the future” episode of the pop culture favorite, FUTURAMA. Brave Combo continues to find new audiences, opening several dates in 2011 and 2012 for Drew Carey and the IMPROV-A-GANZA All-Stars at the legendary MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
