Produced by East Town Association, Bastille Days is Milwaukee’s popular French festival and one of the nation’s largest French-themed celebrations, returns to downtown Milwaukee’s Cathedral Square Park, July 11 – 14. Bastille Day commemorates the storming of the Bastille on July 14th, 1789, by the Parisian revolutionaries. Bastille Day became the French national holiday one year later, during the "Fete de la Federation", on July 14th, 1790.
