THE HORNITZ PHOTO

BIO:
The HORNITZ have been heralded by critics and audience members alike as an unique, inspired, duo with an incredibly fun stage presence, and musical sence that will change the way you think about modern popular musical performance. The HORNITZ first met at college in Boston, Massachusetts, however they were consistantly commited to other artistic endeavors for a number of years. These endeavors included conventional bands, ranging from jazz, funk, and rock, to national tours with broadway shows, and classical ensembles. Created initially as a horn section for hire, the HORNITZ soon realized that their knack for improvised horn lines in concert with their other musical talents could easilly be sculpted into an incredibly fun, energetic, and musically versatile stand-alone ensemble. The HORNITZ is a PANORGANIC ensemble consisting of Vocals, Horn section (Tenor Sax/Bass Trombone), Keyboard, and Loopstation(Vocal Percussion/Vocal Effects). The HORNITZ describe PANORGANIC as Panoramic, because of the HORNITZ's massive, intricate, sound-scapes combined with an Organic, non digital/electronic-esque sound which they produce AS A DUO. The Hornitz have shared the stage with many (in)famous musicians including Guster, State Radio, Redman, members of James Brown's Soul Generals, and have functioned, on many occasions, as the horn section for George Clinton and the Funk Mob.
