BIO:
The Force are the North East of England's finest rock band.
They are a four piece; twin lead guitarists Phil Thorell and Dave Shaw, bass player Mick Hunter and Geordie Clark on drums.
Vocals are shared between the three front men - each with their own unique style
Musically The Force are an awesome powerhouse of intense guitar-fuelled rock. Both guitarists are highly rated professional teachers as well as seasoned live and studio players. Their contrasting and aggressive styles mate perfectly. .
Phil's talent saw him performing at Wembley when he reached the finals of the "Guitarist of the Year" competition. He also has a unique voice which allows the band to perform a much wider range of songs that other bands would not attempt
Mick H, the man in the middle, as well as delivering solid bass lines, has a classic rock voice; and a scream which demands the audience's attention
Dave is the Gibson God and his version of Satriani's "Summer Song" is something special. His vocals on "Different Worlds " are unusual and Thunder's "Love Walked In " and Foo Fighter's "The Pretender " show his versatility.
Geordie Clark is the latest addition to The Force joining the band in Oct 2010. An experienced drummer George is probably best known as a member of Black Rose the highly acclaimed Thin Lizzie tribute band.
A 'KERRANG' national poll previously voted The Force one of the Top Ten unsigned bands .
The Force, with their exceptional brand of original material, are welcomed back time and again by fans all over the country. Their music and stage presence is hugely addictive and has led to them being invited to support some world-class bands, including :- Status Quo, The Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Steve Vai, Skin, Saxon, Magnum, The Little Angels, Nazareth, FM, Nils Lofgren, and Izzy Stradlin.
