PAQUITA LA DEL BARRIO

BIO:
Always ahead, never had the slightest hesitation when bashing males in defense of women, who stands by her songs. Paquita La Del Barrio has led for over thirty years the list of performers who deny the feeling macho. Additionally, she has made famous the phrase "me estás oyendo, inútil" and to further highlight her views decided to call this her 2007 tour. And everyone knows it. This popular singer has consolidated her reputation thanks to the aggressive style resolved that targets men, her real 'trade mark', something that women held in each submission, ranking it as one of the most important vocalists in the Rancheras genre. Francisca Viveros Barradas, was born on April 2 in the town of Alto Lucero, Veracruz, from where hse started her own battle to give voice to all the repressed feelings for a good part of Latin American women. It was in 1970 when Paquita decided to travel to Mexico City to try her luck with the name which later become famous in interpreting the songs of pride and courage against the "macho", among which include "Me Saludas A La Tuya" "Cheque En Blanco", "Rata De Dos Patas", "Tres Veces Te Engañe," "Taco Placero", "Borrate" and now "Si Yo Fuera Varón." However, not only against men despite what highlighted Paquita, but her decision to terminate this kind of social contract that women should wait for a man's attention to them, set the standard the new era with songs as strong as "nvítame A Pecar," "No Hay Quinto Malo" and "Ánimas Que No Amanezca." Unlike other artists, Paquita did not base her career exclusively in the spread of mass media like radio and television, but through her electrifying live performances, in direct contact with her audience. In recognition of her artistic achievements, Paquita La Del Barrio has won major awards, including the Premio Lo Nuestro for Best Performer of the Year in Miami, Florida, and the Premio de la Gente, Los Angeles, California. Consecrated as a singer settled that attacks against some men, but that they too can make "indecent proposals" Paquita in her repertoire includes songs that reflect, suffering and even forgiving. Such is the case of songs like “Acábame De Matar”, “Ni Un Cigarro”, “El Fracaso De Mi Amor” and “Un Amor A Mi Medida”. However, most accepted the proposal still attack against them, hard and head, telling them their truths, as she does in her latest album "Puro Dolor," which has broken off her new hit "Si Fuera Varon " This recording contains a total of ten songs from Rancheras and boleros with accompanying modern mariachi group. Paquita la del Barrio was married twice. Her first marriage ended when she discovered her husband's infidelity. Her second marriage lasted 31 years, and ended with her husband's death in 2000. Paquita duets with singer Ricardo Arjona on "Ni Tu Ni Yo" on his "5to Piso" CD from 2008.
