Originally heralding from the urban decay of Brooklyn, New York in 2003, the Indie rock quartet Family Cave showcases their down to earth image and feel-good melodies and vocals. The group later repositioned themselves in Los Angeles after longtime friends Ides of March Record founder Julio Montero and Middle School Science and music teacher Jason Shine reunited in 2011. Drummer Mitch Lestner and pianist and vocalist Kristina Thoergesen joined and revamped the sound of the band by adding a distinct West Coast flair to the mix.

Building on a solid and emerging fan base in the city of Los Angeles, Family Cave released their EP in 2012. Their track "Place for Me" achieved local acclaim from the vibrant and growing Indie rock scene in the neighborhoods of West Los Angeles for its euphoric blending of folk ballads with a gritty guitar-driven sound.

Deeply influenced by greats such as Elliot Smith, Radiohead, The Cure, and Wilco, the band speaks to a generation of twenty and thirty somethings that are coming to terms with the rapid changes of a modern age. Their debut album is set to be released in 2014 which explores the thematic elements of the trials and tribulations adventure. Their anticipated single "No Sleep Tonight" captures a mature and robust sound and is due out November 12th.
