His full name is AlfrEd Matthew Yankovic; more accurately known as "Weird Al" Yankovic, the multi Grammy Award-winner brings his inspired lunacy to Three Stages this August as part of his Alpocalypsetour. Three Stages Executive Director Dave Pier noted that, "He's the biggest selling comedy recording artist of all time--touring behind his first full length album in nearly five years-and he's coming to Three Stages for not one, not two, but three shows. It's going to be crazy…crazy fun."

"WEIRD AL" YANKOVIC-THE ALPOCALYPSE TOUR will perform in Three Stages on Friday, August 10, 2012 at 8 pm; Saturday, August 11 at 2 pm and 8 pm. Tickets are $39-$55 with Premium tickets available for $65; they are available online at www.threestages.net or from Three Stages Ticket Office at 916-608-6888 from 10 am to 6 pm, Monday through Saturday, and two hours before show time. Three Stages is located on the west side of Folsom Lake College campus in Folsom, CA, facing East Bidwell Street.

Few would have guessed that Yankovic, who as a shy, accordion-playing teenager got his start sending in homemade tapes to the Dr. Demento Radio Show, would go on to sell over 12 million album sales. Now entering his fourth career decade, he has won 3 Grammys (with 14 nominations) and won countless awards and accolades for Weird Al classics like "Eat It," "Like a Surgeon," "Fat," "Smells Like Nirvana," "Amish Paradise," and "The Saga Begins." Yankovic is also well known for his cult-hit feature film UHF (1989), his late '90s CBS Saturday morning series The Weird Al Show and the numerous AL-TV specials that he's made for MTV and VH1 over the years.

"Have you ever seen Weird Al? No? Well, let me try to explain. He plays for two hours. He plays about 65 songs. He has about 20 costume changes. He assumes two dozen personas, and shows just as many funny fake interview clips between songs. He's nonstop, and it's nuts, and his crowd is nuts, and then he plays some songs about Yoda and it's all over, and like any good fast-paced comedy show, it's hard to remember what just happened"(City Sound Inertia).
