Warner Bros to Offer Exclusive Vinyl Releases for Black Today Record Store Day

Black Friday Record Store Day is almost upon us. In keeping its commitment to support independent record stores and communities of serious music fans, Warner Bros. Records-- the leading participant and partner of RSD - will offer several vinyl releases for the November 23rd, Black Friday event. These largely exclusive and limited editions will go on sale the day after Thanksgiving at over 700 independently owned record stores across the country. 

Here is what we have planned for Black Friday Record Store Day:

Fleetwood Mac, Tusk. LP
The 12th studio album from one of the most celebrated artists in modern music. The album has been recut from the original analog master tapes for the first time in over two decades, by Chris Bellman at Bernie Grundman Mastering Studios and pressed on audiophile grade vinyl, at Record Industry, over two 140 gram discs. Available on Tuesday 11/19/2012.

Gary Clark Jr., Blak and Blu. LP
In addition to 12 of Clark's original compositions, Blak and Blu also features a 13th song - a blistering cover of Little Johnny Taylor's (popularized by Albert Collins), "If You Love Me Like You Say / Third Stone From The Sun" (Jimi Hendrix) is actually a complete reworking of the song utilizing the Hendrix riff reinterpreted by Clark. The result is an extraordinary hybrid of the two ideas that breathes new fire into an old favorite.
*As a Black Friday exclusive, we have pressed an extremely limited edition of 2000 copies of this album over two discs, the first disc on blue vinyl and the second on black vinyl. A standard offering on all black vinyl will be released on 12/04/2012 to all retail.

JEFF The Brotherhood, Dark Energy. 7" single
JEFF The Brotherhood, have built a reputation for stripping rock music down to its melodic rock basics and delivering manic live shows with Jamin's three drums and three cymbals and Jake's three-string guitar and ferocious vocals. The band's work ethic defines D.I.Y., from their simple but compelling videos to their self-produced and critically acclaimed albums (including 2011's We Are The Champions), EPs and singles.
*As a Black Friday exclusive, we have pressed an extremely limited edition of 3000 copies of this single. Featuring the album version of Dark Energy, from the 2012 critically acclaimed album Hypnotic Nights. This 7" single also features an alternate, previously unreleased version of the song.

Linkin Park, Living Things. LP
From day one, Linkin Park built the band upon the premise of fusing all of their favorite styles of music as disparate as they might be-into one Signature Sound. Fast-forward 12 years to LIVING THINGS and the same six players have not only developed new tools to make that philosophy a reality, but they're finally comfortable embracing-and coalescing-every aspect of their career. OK, maybe not the XXL work shirts and neon hair dye of the early days. But in their music, the band has spent the past year reinventing how to tastefully bridge the gap between all the musical destinations they've visited, and how to marry all the ideas they've accumulated. And as LIVING THINGS began taking shape, for the first time Linkin Park was eager to use every tool in their toolbox. This album has been cut from the original master, by Chris Bellman at Bernie Grundman Mastering Studios and available for the first time on two high quality 125 gram WHITE VINYL discs, in a limited initial pressing of 3000 copies. Available on Tuesday 11/19/2012.

My Chemical Romance, Number Two in the Conventional Weapons Series. 7" single.
CONVENTIONAL WEAPONS is a 10- song series of previously unheard material to be released over the next five (5) months. The double-sided singles will be available worldwide in both digital and 7" vinyl format. This is the second of the five releases which features "AMBULANCE" on side A and "Gun." on side B. These are unreleased tracks that were recorded prior to Danger Days: The True Lives Of The Fabulous Killjoys. This single has been pressed on translucent RED VINYL, in a limited initial pressing of 3000 copies. Available on Friday 11/23/2012.

Neil Young, Psychedlic Pill. LP
The first album of original music from Neil Young and Crazy Horse in almost a decade, including over 85 minutes of music. Psychedelic Pill pokes down pathways that have been hinted at before in this teaming, but never fully explored. New textures emerge in the music, new landscapes in the lyrics. In many ways, Psychedelic Pill rounds out an array of probing works with prominent autobiographical threads. A deluxe 3-LP set, cut by Chris Bellman at Bernie Grundman Mastering Studios and pressed on audiophile quality 180 gram black vinyl at Pallas. Presented in a stunning triple-pocket "M-pak" jacket. Side F of the third disc displays an original art etching pressed into the vinyl, in an initial first pressing of 5000 copies. Available on Tuesday 11/19/2012.
