Deadline has learned that VH1 has cancelled its morning lineup of BIG MORNING BUZZ with Nick Lachey and THE GOSSIP TABLE. According to the report, the news comes as a surprise, as both shows were in the process of readying for their new seasons, set to premiere on October 5th.

Perez Hilton was recently brought on to serve as co-host of THE GOSSIP TABLE. The columnist was set to join returning hosts Rob Shuter, Marianne Garvey, Chloe Melas and Delaina Dixon.

In a statement to Deadline, VH1 shared, "With pop culture moving ever faster on a 24-7 cycle, we are exploring how to deliver daily topical entertainment to our audience in all day parts and all platforms. We'll have more news as those plans develop. However as part of that process, BIG MORNING BUZZ LIVE with Nick Lachey and THE GOSSIP TABLE will not return this fall on the VH1 channel. We want to thank Nick, each of the hosts of The Gossip Table, and the production teams for their hard work and dedication each and every morning."

BIG BUZZ premiered on VH1 in 2011. Lachey took over as host in March of 2014. THE GOSSIP TABLE first aired on the network in 2013, filling in the vacated spot while 'Morning Buzz' took a summer hiatus.
