Following the UK release of her debut single earlier this summer, female solo-artist FEMME (aka Laura Bettinson), has fast become touted as the next DIY pop startlet to break out in a big way. Now the fiesty London based pop-star, will be making an equally fiesty U.S debut with her forthcoming single 'Fever Boy' and B-Side 'Heartbeat'. Both tracks are now available in the U.S as of today.
'Fever Boy', a swaggeringly upbeat story of runaway romance pitched somewhere between Robyn, Debbie Harry and The Shangri-Las, and features Bettinson in her most charming and wittiest form. In contrast, the blissful stomp of 'Heartbeat' explores the aftermath of a relationship, aided by an absolutely gigantic chorus. As with all of FEMME's work, the singles are 100% Bettinson - not only did she write and record the tracks herself, she also produced all the artwork and directed both videos.Aside from being a one-woman power machine, Bettinson also finds time to front the critically appraised supergroupUltraísta, formed by Radiohead producer Nigel Godrich.
'Fever Boy / Heartbeat' will be available on all digital platform in the U.S from 11/18.
Limited heartshaped vinyl will also be available via FEMME's website at:
