Two shows with local flair provide a double feature at the State Theatre on Saturday, October 17. Chaise Lounge, with Easton native Charlie Barnett, returns for State Theatre Cabaret in the Acopian ballroom while FLINTface rocks the main stage with the #TakeBackYourVoice Concert, featuring local teens performing as the opening act.

Chaise Lounge will perform in the Acopian Ballroom, beginning at 7:00 PM. Tickets are $35 with shared table seating, a cash bar and light faire available for purchase throughout the show. It is sponsored by Campbell, Rappold & Yurasits, LLP.

The #TakeBackYourVoice Concert, featuring national recording artist FLINTface is also at 7:00 PM. Tickets are $21 & $11 for students and are available for purchase through the State Theatre Shopping Cart on www.statetheatre.org. Sponsored by The Workshop, Spin Radio and Viamedia. Proceeds from the concert will benefit the non-profit FREDDY© Awards.

Tickets for both can be purchased by visiting the State Theatre Box Office, 453 Northampton Street, Easton, by calling 1-800-999-STATE, 610-252-3132 or online at www.statetheatre.org.

Chaise Lounge performs a blend of music that sounds like it was recorded at Capitol Recording Studios in 1962 and somehow found its way to today's pop charts - equal parts dry wit and dry martini. It is the combination of five of the Washington area's top jazz musicians, including Easton native Charlie Barnett, playing sparkling arrangements of standards and original tunes and featuring the soft, luminous vocals of Marilyn Older - who has been described as one of the most wonderful voices singing in America right now.

National recording artist FLINTface empowers audiences to #TAKEBACKYOURVOICE during his live performances. Often found spreading the message of anti-bullying and empowerment to high schools across the country, including here in the Lehigh Valley, FLINTface brings his powerful message to a unique concert setting at the historic State Theatre. FLINTface's music combines energetic instrumentation, classic-rock bombast, and soulful melodies woven together into hopeful tales of the complex path of life. His new album, HOPE is available now. The band and State Theatre staff members are currently holding auditions for local performers to be the opening act. High school students between the ages of 14-19 submitted audition tapes to showcase their wide array of talents including music, dance, spoken word and comedy. Three performers or groups will be awarded the opportunity to open the show on the main stage of the State Theatre.
