Top Tracks & Albums: GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY Soundtrack Holds onto Top Album Spot, Week Ending 8/10

iTunes has become the most comprehensive, streamlined way to purchase music, and BWW Music has rounded up the most popular tracks and albums on the digital marketplace for the week ending August 10, 2014.

Jessie J., Ariana Grande, and Nicki Minaj's BANG BANG fell to second place on the iTunes top singles chart, with ALL ABOUT THAT BASS by Meghan Trainor coming in first, and MAGIC!'s RUDE rounding out the top three.

On the albums side, the new GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY soundtrack held onto first place, with 1000HP by Godsmack at No. 2, and NOW THAT'S WHAT I CALL MUSIC, Vol. 51 in third.

Video: Pillow Queens Drop Punchy 'Heavy Pour' Track

Acclaimed Irish indie rock band Pillow Queens is diving into intoxicating feelings with punchy, cathartic track and official video 'Heavy Pour' out now ahead of their LP release on Friday, April 19. Bill MacKay Shares 'Keeping In Time' from LP

Next month, the Chicago-based singer-songwriter and captivating guitarist Bill MacKay will release his forthcoming album, Locust Land. The album serves as the long-awaited follow up to MacKay’s 2019 solo effort, Fountain Fire. Previously released album tracks include the dazzling “When I Was Here” and “Glow Drift,”, MacKay has shared “Keeping In Time,” an album highlight which finds MacKay employing a searching voice to explore themes of fate and love. DJ Snake to Headline Malta’s Isle of MTV 2024

MTV, in partnership with the Malta Tourism Authority, have announced that Isle of MTV Malta will return to Malta’s il-Fosos Square on Tuesday, July 16, 2024, with headlining performances from DJ Snake and RAYE. Promising huge, open-air sets, for the now 16th year, this event has become known as Europe’s biggest free summer festival.
