The Ready Set Celebrates First Platinum Single With Headline Tour, 2/23-4/9

The digital version of "Love Like Woe," the first single from Decaydance/SIRE Records artist THE READY SET has been certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America. The JR Rotem-produced "Love Like Woe," off The Ready Set's debut EP I'm Alive I'm Dreaming, made a splash on radio and sales charts across the country. The track hit #15 on the Mainstream Top 40 airplay chart, #27 on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart and #18 on the Digital Songs Chart.

To support the success of "Love Like Woe," The Ready Set has announced his first ever headline tour. The nationwide run, presented by Glamour Kills, kicks off February 23rd in Indianapolis, IN and runs through April 9th in Ft. Wayne, IN. Joining The Ready Set will be Allstar Weekend, We Are The In Crowd and The Downtown Fiction. Several dates on the tour are already sold out and many more have been upped to larger venues to accommodate The Ready Set's rapidly growing fanbase.

The Ready Set is 21 year-old Indiana-born drummer, singer, songwriter and keyboardist Jordan Witzigreuter, who creates infectious, danceable pop designed for fun. I'm Alive, I'm Dreaming is the first release from the joint venture between Sire Records and Pete Wentz's Decaydance Records.

In addition to being a fan-favorite, I'm Alive, I'm Dreaming has receivEd Strong critical support. AOL praised its "irresistible hooks" Seventeen called it "ground-breaking...infectious" and USA Today recently selected The Ready Set for their coveted "On the Verge" series. MTV has also been an early supporter of The Ready Set. Witzigreuter spent the summer on the MTV VMA tour with Never Shout Never, performed live on the finale of the TJ competition and was selected for MTV's coveted "PUSH" & "POSTED" artist programs. The video for fan-favorite "More Than Alive" premiered during primetime as a part of MTV's "premiere week" alongside Bruno Mars, B.O.B. and My Chemical Romance. This marks one of the first times MTV has premiered a developing artist during primetime.
