With such hits as "Sherry" and "Big Girls Don't Cry", the May Philly POPS concert series is going to have audiences dancing in their seats! On May 16, 17 and 18, it's SIXTIES HITS with the Midtown Men, the original cast members of Broadway's Jersey Boys, who are bringing their sensational sound to Philadelphia to Verizon Hall in The Kimmel Center. The talented quartet consists of Tony Award-winner Christian Hoff, Michael Longoria, Daniel Reichard and Tony Award nominee J. Robert Spencer. They will join conductor Michael Krajewski and The Philly POPS and perform the music of The Beatles, The Beach Boys, Motown, of course, The Four Seasons and more.

The Philly POPS is presented by Encore Series, Inc. SIXTIES HITS will run at 8 p.m. on Friday, May 16 at 8 p.m., then at 3 p.m. matinees for Saturday, May 17 and Sunday, May 18. During their time in the mega-hit musical Jersey Boys, these four artists shared the stage for over a thousand performances and delighted television audiences with appearances on the "Today Show," "The Late Show with David Letterman," and "Dick Clark's Rockin' New Year's Eve." Following their storied run on Broadway, they have been selling out venues coast to coast living the dream they once portrayed on the stage. The Midtown Men is the first vocal group ever formed by the principal cast of a high-profile Broadway show.

The 2014-2015 concert series for The Philly POPS brings back Krajewski's innovative programming and lighthearted approach that made this season such a success. The exciting series of concerts begins in October, 2014 with the Era of ABBA, followed by the ever-popular Christmas Spectacular conducted by David Charles Abell with guest artist, Hugh Panaro. In February, Classic Soul will brighten the audience followed by a salute to the American Songbook Then and Now and a visit to the movies with Epic Hollywood Soundtracks. The season ends with the Legends of Rock.

This is the second season for Maestro Michael Krajewski to be at the helm of The Philly POPS. He is the highly respected Pops conductor who holds additional posts with the Atlanta, Houston and Jacksonville Symphonies and who guest conducts internationally. The Philly POPS, the largest stand-alone POPS orchestra in America, performs in Verizon Hall at The Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts, 300 S. Broad Street in Philadelphia, and around the tri-state region, entertaining audiences with an eclectic mix of musical genres - from Broadway to Big Band, from Gershwin to the Beatles. The Philly POPS is a founding resident company of the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts. The orchestra boasts a blend of talented musicians from the musically rich Philadelphia region.
