Today, Wells Fargo Center for the Arts announced two new, exciting performances in April, including British rock legends The Moody Blues: Timeless Flight -- The Polydor Years tonight, April 29, 2015 at 8 p.m., and back by popular demand after a sold out appearance in 2012, power blues rockers ZZ Top on Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at 8 p.m.

Tickets for The Moody Blues are $119, $89 & $69 and tickets for ZZ Top are $119, $99, and $79. Tickets for both shows go on sale Friday, January 23, 2015 at noon, and will be available online at wellsfargocenterarts.org, by calling 707-546-3600, and in person at the box office at 50 Mark West Springs Road in Santa Rosa.

Since they first hit the rock scene with the release of their monumental 1967 album "Days of Future Passed," The Moody Blues have continued to produce music that bridges the gap between classical and pop-rock genres without ever wavering in their integrity and commitment. Along the way The Moody Blues have sold in excess of 70 million albums worldwide and have been awarded an astonishing 14 platinum and gold discs.

Featuring the altruistic inflections of guitarist/vocalist Justin Hayward, bassist/vocalist John Lodge and drummer Graeme Edge, The Moody Blues' sound has held its ground with exquisite harmonies over and over again, in a genre of music that is ever-changing. Since their formation in England, The Moody Blues have created music time and time again that offers rock music a depth that is unprecedented and inspiring.

After a sold out appearance in 2012, the most famous "little ol' band from Texas" returns to Santa Rosa to perform their legendary hits in Wells Fargo Center for the Arts' intimate theater. ZZ Top plays red-hot Texas boogie and blues, and no one does it better-or has done it longer-than this "little ol' band from Texas." The trio's enduring appeal can be attributed to their mastery of and feel for rootsy forms. Guitarist Billy Gibbons, bassist Dusty Hill and drummer Frank Beard were influenced by such blues masters as Freddie King, Lightnin' Hopkins, Muddy Waters and John Lee Hooker. From the beginning they took a hard-rocking power-trio approach to the blues, cultivating a new audience for it in the 70s

and 80s with superior musicianship as well as attitude, style and some devilishly funny songs. They have sold millions of records over the course of their career, have been officially designated as "Heroes of The State of Texas", have been referenced in countless cartoons and sitcoms and are true rock icons but, against all odds, they're really just doing what they've always done, being real, surreal, and just ZZ Top.
