The High Hopes Band, New England's premiere modern roots reggae band, is pleased to announce they've been voted as 2015's Best in State of Massachusetts, by the New England Music Awards (NEMA).The NEMA nominating committee consists of a variety of music industry experts including journalists from music publications, radio personalities, talent buyers, event planners, record label executives and more. The goal of the New England Music Awards is to celebrate and recognize some of the area's best musical achievements. Every year NEMA nominates over 100 artists and/or bands spanning a number of categories and genres of popular music in New England.

"This is a tough business that takes a lot of time & energy sometimes with very little return," said Sebastian Franks, co-lead singer and guitarist."And to receive this award in such a competitive atmosphere is truly a humbling experience."

The High Hopes Band band released their self entitled EP in 2013. In September of 2014, they dropped their debut album "Forever Love," spending 2 weeks in the Itunes top 100 all-time reggae albums chart, reaching as high as 30.All recorded work can be heard on the majority of streaming music services in the industry, including Spotify & Pandora.

With their roots steeped deep in the tradition of the classic 70s period of conscious reggae, the High Hopes Band (HHB) is considered New England's premiere modern roots reggae band. High Hopes combines influences of roots reggae, dub, & RnB into its own style and sound.

High Hopes has been performing throughout New England for the last 10 years. 2015 marked their 3rd year of extensively touring the U.S. Virgin Islands and their first East coast tour routing in July. High Hopes has provided tour support for Giant Panda Guerilla Dub Squad, Freddie McGregor, Maxi Priest & Midnite. They shared the stage with Ziggy Marley in 2014 as the opening act.
