The Hartt School Hosts ANNUAL COLLAGE CONCERT 2/17-18

The Hartt School of the University of Hartford will present its annual Collage Concert on Friday and Saturday, February 17 and 18, at 7:30 PM in Lincoln Theater, on the University of Hartford's West Hartford campus, 200 Bloomfield Avenue, West Hartford.

About the concert: "A unique opportunity to experience the full range of performing arts disciplines in one evening, the Collage Concert features students from all of Hartt's performing Divisions."

Tickets (general admission) are free but required and early reservations are recommended.

This year's sampling of music includes excerpts from the Messa Da Requiem by Giuseppe Verdi; España by Chabrier; Short Ride in a Fast Machine by John Adams; and a solo performance by Hartt violin faculty member Anton Miller performing Bach, C Major, Largo, Solo.

Collage also features excerpts from the Hartt Theatre Division's sumptuous fall production of Sondheim's spectacular musical, Sunday in the Park with George. In addition, Theatre students perform excerpts from Shakespeare's classic Hamlet.

Dance Division students perform a variety of repertoire including "Sarabande" from Martha Graham's 1946 masterwork Dark Meadow.

The Hartt School is the comprehensive performing arts school of the University of Hartford that offers innovative degree programs in music, dance, and theatre.
