Kicking off October 27 in San Diego, CA the 10-date tour will hit many U.S. major markets and dip into Canada. Fans in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Salt Lake City, Denver, Minneapolis, Chicago, Detroit, Toronto and New York will experience The Bloody Beetroots band that is currently touring in Europe. The full routing follows below. Pre-sale tickets become available this Wednesday, August 2 through Spotify and Dancing Astronaut. Tickets go on sale this Friday, August 4.
These dates also mark The Bloody Beetroots first live shows in North America in over three years. Check out a recent fan-filmed clip of "My Name Is Thunder" and more live from Paris here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DNZhoVzzl0Q
"Saint Bass City Rockers" which made its premiere at Dancing Astronaut as a "Track of the Day" today is a sinuous instrumental of epic proportions. "A long voyage, an electronic mantra that is articulated with different melodies, touching various spots around the world, from California, India, Norway and England," says The Bloody Beetroots. "I imagined this voyage as I wrote the song."
The "My Name Is Thunder" double single represents the various genres that define The Bloody Beetroots with the first version driven by heavy synths and electronic beats while the other is led by JET's gritty guitar-driven rock and roll. Both "My Name Is Thunder" and "Saint Bass City Rockers" will appear on his next album to be released later this year.
The Bloody Beetroots--who celebrates his 10-year anniversary--is the moniker of artist, producer and mastermind Sir Bob Cornelius Rifo. Born in Bassano Del Grappa, Italy, Rifo was inspired by a lifelong love of comic books and punk rock, which comprise the visceral kick of The Bloody Beetroots' sound. Unleashing his first recordings in 2007, The Bloody Beetroots' sound has been featured in commercials, TV shows and video games, and powered dozens of remixes for artists including Depeche Mode, The Chemical Brothers, The Refused, Peaches, Crossfaith and Britney Spears.
The Bloody Beetroots' discography includes a string of successful EPs and two full length albums including 2009's Romborama and 2013's Hide, which featured collaborations with Sir Paul McCartney, Steve Aoki, Tommy Lee, Dennis Lyxzen of Refused, P-Thugg of Chromeo, Theophilus London, Youth and guitar legend Peter Frampton. Always clad in a mask and leather, Rifo conceals his identity as he rocks international audiences from intimate clubs to festival stages.
