Telemundo Premieres New Reality Competition YO SOY EL ARTISTA Tonight

Telemundo announced it will premiere "Yo Soy el Artista," the new mega-reality competition show that will find the next true artist, tonight, September 14th at 8pm/7c. A team of top celebrities, including Host Lucero, Judges Luis Fonsi, Olga Tañon, Mario Quintero Lara, Stephanie Himonidis 'La Chiquibaby' and Boris Izaguirre, along with 100 international social media influencers, will have to evaluate preselected contestants through the Auditions phase. On opening night, "Yo soy el Artista" will feature international music star, Juan Luis Guerra, in a double worldwide premiere of "Tus Besos" and "Llegaste Tú," his duet with Latin music star and the shows' celebrity judge, Luis Fonsi.

Following auditions in Los Angeles, New York, Miami, Houston, Chicago, Orlando and Puerto Rico, where more than 4,000 people participated, only 120 individuals were preselected to come to Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida to take part in the Audition phase of "Yo Soy el Artista." During this phase, participants will need to convince a panel of 100 influencers, digital influencers from Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Vine and Instagram, to vote for them to be allowed to face the judges and the show's Host, Lucero. In the Selection phase, the chosen contestants will compete to gain admission to the "Escuela de Artistas" (Artist's School), led by world-famous singer, Olga Tañon, including telenovela star Laura Flores as acting expert, and the internationally renowned choreographer Javier Castillo, "Poty," as dance instructor. In the School, 14 candidates will be nominated to the final phase of the competition, the Galas, where each Sunday, they will perform in front of the judges, a live audience and TV viewers, who will ultimately decide who will be elected as the "Yo Soy el Artista" winner.

After the conclusion of "Yo Soy el Artista," viewers can enjoy "Suelta la Sopa Extra" (10pm/9c), THE AFTER show that provides an in-depth analysis of the auditions and galas from a different perspective, with special guests and exclusive behind-the-scenes footage of the mega-reality show.
