Based on recommendations from Ulster County officials, THE HUDSON PROJECT festival organizers MCP Presents and SFX Entertainment were forced to cancel the remainder of yesterday's (Sunday, July 13) performances.

The recommendation to cancel was based on warnings from the National Weather Service (NWS) about impending weather, along with storms that passed through the area. Festival organizers had been working tirelessly with New York State, Ulster County and Saugerties town officials in order to determine weather conditions were unsafe for people to return to the festival site.

Festival-goers were evacuated from the event grounds and were directed by staff and New York State, Ulster County and Saugerties town officials to seek shelter in vehicles until the storm safely passed.

"Our first priority is always the safety of our fans, artists and staff," said Jonathan Fordin, partner of MCP Presents, the promoter behind THE HUDSON PROJECT. "We regret having to cancel any performance, but safety always comes first."
